What are the optimal hanging dimensions for your hammocks?Updated a year ago

There is a range of dimensions that you can hang any of our hammocks, and all can have their hanging reach extended using our "Go Anywhere" Hammock Straps. Here are some of our recommendations:

Classic Size Signature Hammock (10ft long)- a rough estimate would be to have the ends about 10’ apart and about 5’ off the ground. With that in mind, you could hang it with the ends in a range between 8’-11’ apart.

Family Size Signature & Cotton Rope Hammocks (11ft long) have a recommended hanging range from between 9’-12’ apart and about 5’ off the ground.

Chair Hammock (4ft wide x 7 ft deep) needs an overhead hanging set up with connection points about 4’ apart and about 5’6”-6’ off the ground. With that in mind, you could hang it with the ends in a range between 3’6”-5’ apart.

If you're planning to drill hooks or install connection points directly into a wall or post you're likely to find some great tips at your local hardware store! They are usually incredibly helpful with installation. We often recommend a "porch swing" hook, which has more flexibility.
